“Wowee – what a find! Birch Lodge was everything we’d hoped for & more! This beautiful, tranquil retreat was absolutely perfect for a few days away from it all. Situated within a Christmas tree farm, surrounded by fishing lakes, the location couldn’t get much better. The lodge is kitted out to perfection with everything you could possibly need. It’s so clean & comfortable with so much attention to detail. “We only travelled 45 minutes from home and although we live in a similar countryside setting we honestly felt like we had escaped to a peaceful haven! We wanted a relaxing couple of days to fish and relax and that’s exactly what we got. The lodge was pristine and although I always pack everything we could need, Clare had thought about absolutely everything…you could happily turn up with just a toothbrush and you’d be catered for! Recommendations on local eateries were spot on, we dined at the Martlett Inn and the White Post Cafe and both meals were fantastic! We definitely will return and recommend, we really didn’t want to leave…in fact we had a hard time enticing our two Jack Russell’s in to the lodge at night as they just loved sitting out by the water watching the wildlife!” – Jodie (July 2023)
